Poster
Posters accompany the release of official albums. Increasing chances of the CD being purchased as it increases consumer awareness:
This poster is not the original so excuse the blurriness. As we see from Calvin Harris's poster for his album I Created Disco. It has an identical colour scheme sharing the same image, font and layout. This is important for the audience because it makes them quickly identify the relation. It also draws their attention to the poster due to the bright, familiar colour scheme. As we can see, very little has changed but the poster does include the essential, date of release, (a bit difficult to see the small print font but I am assuming) record company information.
David Guetta's Nothing But The Beat follows the repertoire that the artist will use a similar colour scheme for a direct reference to the CD cover/digipak. As we see the dominating red on the front cover on the poster. The font used for David Guetta is identical on both media products, however the title of the CD - Nothing But The Beat has a slightly differnent font, taking the font used for the name of the artist. This is sometimes implicated as some fonts clash on different colours, none the less the desginer sticks to the a minimum of two to three fonts. This is an earlier poster promoting his album and the text below states coming in the fall.
