Risk Assessment

A very late blog indeed. We had dedicated a slide to risk assessment but it was rather inaccurate leading to it being deleted so I have decided to do a brief blog regarding it as I want to show that we have taken some consideration on do's and do nots:
  • Standard procedure even for AS, keep equipment safe - Whatever happens to them, we will have to pay for them and working with a mind set like that reassures that nothing will happen.
  • Know where you are recording - unfortunately people do have their goods stolen but this is equally down to the victim. By keeping equipment with you 24/7 and not venturing into the bad parts of town you will be saving yourself and the camera.
  • Have the house party supervised - In reference to the change of plan blog, I mentioned not creating another Facebook event to accompany our new date and location. Primarily because too many people will hear of it and the safety of the home is jeopardised as proven by the countless parties gone bad on the news. But to reassure, the house will be supervised by either my uncle or dad at all times, so nothing gets too hectic like the Asher Roth music video I love college.
  • Monitored alcohol consumption - Even if I tell people, no under age drinking: drinks are going to be there and I can not control what people do. However, I will make it clear before the party gets intense by reminding people to know their limits and not be throwing up everywhere ( even though there always is one). My uncle made it clear if someone does they will be told to clean it, so I'll let people know of that.
  • Obey rules - The places we are filming are usual hotspots for photographers so chances of being hassled with having a camera is very slim, but if for whatever reason we are given guidelines about filming and pictures. We will not protest and comply to the people's demands. Filming on Sunday had no objections just people wishing to walk in front of the camera and stare.
  • HAVE FUN ; We know it is vitally important to get the shots we need, but at the end of the day, we also wish to have fun and hopefully we can. :)
