Intertextuality within our video

Intertextuality is the shaping of texts' meanings by other texts. It can include an author’s borrowing and transformation of a prior text or to a reader’s referencing of one text in reading another, or in our case borrowing aspects from other artists videos such as MES ect. During our research into possible locations for filming, I came across the music video "Mr medicine" by Eliza Doolittle". In watching this video it also gave us some inspiration to also film at Barbican for one of our base tracks. As you can see from the images below, we also used the same escalator as she did and also we also filmed when it was dark out side; as we felt this is when that shot would be most effective.
