Our final song choice was Flashback by Calvin Harris taken from his second studio album Ready for the Weekend. The song was released in the UK on November 2, 2009. The song also features vocals from Ayah Marar. One of the reasons why we chose this song was because as soon as we listened to the song the first time round we felt that the song was an up tempo song which would require a lot of fast editing. When creating the short-list of potential songs one of the types of song we said we really wanted to chose was one that would involve a lot of fast editing, the reason for this is that in some of the videos we watched during our research we found that the songs that contained fast sort of Stylized and fast editing, were the ones that we found most Intriguing and Entertaining. Therefore making us watch the video all the way to the end, we hope that our video will also have the same effect on our audience. One other reason was that during the song there is a period where there is no vocals, we felt that this would be useful when it comes to filming other Base tracks other than our artist lipsyncing because it will allow us to incorporate into the music video some of our Unique ideas that don't neccecerily involve our artist looking into the camera lipsyncing. Taking all this into consideration i think that we will be able to successfully create a music video that shows how all of our technical skills have grown and developed since AS, and also one that fulfils its purpose of promoting the artist/ single and album (As i mentioned in "Function of the music video")
