Planning for Music Video: More influence (Editing)

After analysing 3 music videos that have influenced our final planning decisions I have looked into more videos to show the editing ideas we were thinking of.
This is a clip from Pitbull – Give Me Everything

As you can see the editing is done to a very fast pace for those few seconds. It’s very eye catchy and keeps the video looking busy. Although it might take some time to achieve that in editing and be shown just for a few seconds I believe it would be worth it as its very eye catchy.

I have also taken part of the film Adulthood to show you what effect we would like in our video.
I downloaded the clip from YouTube using Clipart making it into a MPEG4 file, then just kept the part of the video where the effect is used and saved it as a QuickTime Player video.

The effect here can be done in two different ways. Either making our artist stand in front of the camera in the location we want and film for a period of time, then up the whole clip. This also means that our artist (Nathan) cannot make any drastic movements due to the fact that when the video will be speeded up it will look very odd.
The other way of achieving this effect is by filming the location separately then putting it on green screen with our artist in front of it. Also this sounds easier this can be tricky in editing because the background might have to be cut in places for our artist to be shown in front of the location meaning if their are moving objects in the background it might not all be in the same pace.
